*Update*
Hey everyone! I am here to drop a quick update. For starters, I am still going on the Word Race lol! As most of you know, I was originally set to leave this past January, but I ended up postponing my trip. My current launch date is September 2nd. I am still leaving for 11 months, but my route is slightly different and I will be traveling with a different group of people.
September 2nd we begin training camp in Gainesville, Georgia. Directly after camp my team & I will depart for Guatemala, our first country. Following Guatemala, we’ll travel to Romania, Albania, Turkey, Jordan, & Southern Asia. My team will be helping with kids ministry programs, women’s ministry, community outreaches, rehab clinics and everything in between!
It’s honestly very hard to accurately express how I feel as the trip gets closer. Most of the time it just feels surreal, but the most prominent feeling I have is peace. I truly believe God is behind this, and he continues to prove that to me over and over again. With all that being said, God has been so faithful through my fundraising process. Like I have mentioned before, my goal is to raise $19,700, and I only have $5000 left to go! I am starting another adop-a-box as my final fundraiser!
